I was not happy to be adopted, especially via Forced adoption, the system is still broken and wide open to manipulation and coercion. I was adopted by a woman who also had her baby taken from her. She never acknowledged her own trauma which kept her from acknowledging mine. I was the placeholder baby, an ornament of her misplaced desires. I believe there should be a system that does not permanently break access to heritage or create a second identity. Laws a still in place from decades ago the prevent access to records and reunification. If the system was honourable there would be no need for secrecy.
